Help Please Does anyone know if it is an open or a closed system when you distill baking soda?

we are doing this lab in my cl and i need to know if its close or if its opened. ok we have the baking soda in the distilling tube. we also have a bunsen burner heating the baking soda. we have a rubber tubing that its attach to the distilling tube and it travels all the way to a bucket half filled with water and we put the rubber tubing inside a 2 litter bottle that is in the bucket. please help me
