I'm sure this is easier than I think, but I'm completely computer illiterate. I would appreciate all the help.

I recently bought a Gateway laptop, with an Alltel air card. Here's my problem: my computer takes an excessive amount of time to do anything, from pulling up e mail, loading a video, or just initially loading when turned on. Also, all the graphics on the monitor are fuzzy. I delete my cookies everyday and am confident that it does not have a virus of any sort. I'm just not sure if it is an issue with the settings or the air card or a combination of both. I do not think it is the area I'm in as there have been labtops used here before. I'm temporarily totally disabled so I can't check other areas to see if that is the issue. Any help that anyone can give will be very much appreciated, as this is my first computer and want it to be a positive thing not a pain in the . Thank You!
