It depends on if you are going to drop the tofu in and immediately eat the curry or if you are willing to let it all sit and heat together. The tofu will absorb the flavor of the dish, but it takes time. The longer you let any dish sit and stew, so to speak, the more the flavors will meld. If you are going to eat the dish immediately then I would mix up my spices and liquids and marinade the tofu for at least 1 hr to 3 hrs before adding to the dish.
