Why does wine oxidize into acetic acid where say vodka doesn't?

If ethyl alcohol is oxidized with KMnO4 or a form of Cr+6, acetic acid is formed. This occurs naturally when wine is left out. I was curious why a distilled alcohol (vodka, whiskey, ect) doesn't also oxidize when left exposed to air?
